They Dropped The Ball With Rusev (As We Knew They Would)
Rusev was one of my favourites this time last year. Even though it was completely obvious where they were going with his storyline, and even though the undefeated streak is a dangerous card to play (see Goldberg, Bill) he was the epitome of what was positive about traditional wrestling booking. He was a big Bulgarian (sorry…’Russian’) who celebrated Putin, wrestled in bare feet, and stomped all over the American wrestlers he faced.
